I thought it might be nice to load up all my camping gear and do a quick trip to Los Padres National Forest... A little known camp site called Indians. This was a great trip to find out what I was missing and test out my gear. It was also fun because I got to do two river crossings on my new Triumph Tiger Explorer. This is a much bigger bike than my bmw and it's the bike I'll be taking to Nevada next week on our Ghost Towns and Hot Springs trip.
Here's a photo of one of the river crossings. The cool part is you can zoom in and see two fully armed and camo army guys walking through the grass toward the river. This is Fort Hunter Liggett and they run Army exercises as you drive through the base!
